"Marvel Jesus" Deadpool & Wolverine has finally premiered, and of course, the film is packed with countless Easter eggs. Below, we'll break them down one by one. Please note that unless there's crucial new information, Easter eggs previously discussed in our trailer analysis will not be repeated here~

1. Logan The film opens in the classic style of the Deadpool series, kicking off with an action sequence from the middle of the main story, then using Deadpool's narration to flash back to the beginning.
This scene takes place in the forest where Wolverine was killed by the clone X-24 at the end of the 2017 film Logan, with the overturned truck still lying in the background~

Additionally, the opening song is "*NSYNC"'s hit single "Bye Bye Bye" released in 2000, symbolizing a farewell to the Fox Universe.
2. Gossip Girl Deadpool uses Wolverine's adamantium skeleton as a weapon to attack TVA agents. He then shares some "cold facts," saying, "The human body has 206 bones. If I'm watching Gossip Girl, it has 207 bones..." Gossip Girl is the breakout work of Ryan Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively.

3. Universe Number This film once again confirms that the MCU Prime Universe is designated 616, while the X-Men series released by Fox is in Universe 10005. At the end of Deadpool 2, Deadpool used Cable's time-travel device to go back in time, saving his girlfriend Vanessa and his X-Force teammates. He also took the opportunity to kill the mouth-sewn Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the Reynolds who was about to accept the Green Lantern script, and the newborn Hitler, among others. Now, the film also reveals that Deadpool even traveled to Universe 616, the MCU Prime Universe, to audition for the Avengers.
4. Auditioning for the Avengers Deadpool goes to Universe 616 to audition for the Avengers, with Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan conducting the interview. He is the only actual cameo from the MCU Prime Universe in this film. A noteworthy detail is that this takes place on March 14, 2018, before Infinity War, when Stark was likely still busy preparing for his wedding~

Around the office, you can spot numerous Easter eggs, including the arc reactor, "proof that Tony Stark has a heart," the unfinished Captain America shield from Iron Man, the Mark V briefcase armor from Iron Man 2, and a photo of Stark and Spider-Man's Peter Parker (likely due to Sony's contract, Spider-Man's face is intentionally obscured by an Iron Man mask~~)

Finally, there's an important detail: the Iron Man toy mask is the same one worn by the little boy Tony saved at the expo in Iron Man 2. Many fans believed this boy was Peter Parker, a theory later confirmed by Tom Holland and Kevin Feige. This is now the first time it has been publicly confirmed in a work.
5. Angel Of The Morning At Deadpool's birthday party, Juice Newton's song "Angel Of The Morning" can be heard in the background. This song was also the opening theme for Deadpool 1.
6. Do you want to build a snowman? Blind Al asks Deadpool if he wants some cocaine, but Deadpool reminds her that drugs are a taboo for Kevin Feige. Al then suggests many euphemisms, one of which is "Do you want to build a snowman," mocking the classic song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" from Disney's Frozen.

The song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" was also mentioned by Deadpool in Deadpool 2, when he was muttering in a bar after losing his beloved Vanessa.
7. Wolverine Variants Deadpool finds different versions of Wolverine variants in the multiverse, one of which is a cameo by Henry Cavill, marking the DC "Superman" actor's first appearance in the Marvel Universe. Deadpool quips, "We'll treat you better than other studios," satirizing Cavill's forced exits from both the DC Universe and The Witcher series.

Additionally, Deadpool also encounters a Wolverine variant fighting the Hulk in another universe. In fact, Wolverine first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #180 comic in October 1974. The costume he wears here pays homage to the "What If Hulk Killed Wolverine?" storyline from What If? Vol 1 #50 in June 1993~

.
8. Alioth Variants pruned by the TVA and sent into "The Void" must evade being devoured by the smoke monster "Alioth." Deadpool explains in the film that Alioth first appeared in the first season of the Loki series.

9. So, this is what it feels like Mr. Paradox watches footage of Logan's death and says, "So, this is what it feels like." This line actually replicates Logan's dying words.

Furthermore, this line has another meaning. From the Loki series, we know that TVA agents have their memories of their lives on Earth erased before joining. Also, because different time rules exist within the TVA, Mr. Paradox would not have had memories of a near-death experience.

10. Spoiler Alert? Deadpool looks at the TVA's video files, one of which shows Thor holding a dying Deadpool. Mr. Paradox quickly cuts the footage, saying it's a future event that Deadpool shouldn't see yet. Could this be a plot point for the future Avengers: Secret Wars? Also, Deadpool wakes up startled several times in the film, calling out Thor's name. Is this also a future foreshadowing?

11. Current TVA Status Mr. Paradox mentions that the TVA used to actively prune excess timelines, but they no longer do so, which is why he personally needs to accelerate the demise of Universe 10005. This confirms that this film takes place after the Loki series. In the second season of that series, Loki becomes the guardian of the multiverse, protecting its free growth.

12. Mocking Will Smith One of the TVA hunters chasing Deadpool says, "Logan is the only valuable thing Canada has ever produced," forcing Deadpool to end his life with a katana and then shout, "Keep my country's name out of your f***ing mouth!" This line, of course, parodies Will Smith's classic quote to Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars "slap incident."

13. Superhero Landing Chris Evans returns as a cameo "Human Torch" and leaps from a high place, prompting Deadpool to once again mock the "superhero landing" trope, a classic gag from Deadpool 1.
14. Paul Rudd Finally Aged Cassandra Nova's fortress in the Void is a giant-sized Ant-Man skeleton. Deadpool can't help but quip, "Paul Rudd finally aged," poking fun at "Ant-Man" actor Paul Rudd's long-praised ageless appearance.

Additionally, the Giant-Man skeleton pays homage to one of the scenes in the classic comic Old Man Logan.

15. Roasting Chris Because Human Torch badmouthed Cassandra along the way, Cassandra instantly killed him off. Deadpool then quips, "He almost blew the budget," mocking Chris Evans' cameo fee for this return. Interestingly, Marvel not only brought back Evans but also recently brought back Robert Downey Jr. to play "Doctor Doom".

Deadpool also says Human Torch "isn't his favorite Chris," poking fun at the various actors named "Chris" in superhero films.

16. Who is Gordon Reynolds, who plays "Nicepool"? In the IMDb cast list, "Nicepool" is credited as being played by Gordon Reynolds, but Gordon Reynolds is not an actual actor; he is a fictional character created by Ryan Reynolds. ▼ He originally appeared in a Marvel mobile game as "Handsomepool."

To celebrate Ryan Reynolds receiving GQ magazine's "Man of the Year" award in 2016, Ryan designed a self-interview where his twin brother, Gordon Reynolds, interviewed him. However, in that interview, Gordon went to great lengths to make various sarcastic and insulting remarks, causing Ryan to storm out of the interview. Later in 2017, Gordon reappeared to promote Ryan Reynolds' gin brand, Aviation American Gin.
17. The Greatest Showman Deadpool and Wolverine get into a conflict in the car, leading to a brawl. When they hit the center console's audio system, it switches to different songs, one of which is "The Greatest Show," the theme song from the Hugh Jackman-starring film The Greatest Showman.
There was a similar scene in Deadpool 1 during the highway battle, where the audio played was the BGM from the old Batman series.
18. You've always hated me When Deadpool sees Wesley Snipes return as "Blade," he says, "You've always hated me," poking fun at the rumors of a feud between Reynolds and Snipes during the filming of Blade: Trinity.

19. Daredevil In the Void, many variants try to defeat Cassandra, but are all eaten by Alioth. One of them includes Daredevil, but Jennifer Garner's returning "Elektra" reacts coldly to his name, because "Daredevil" Ben Affleck is her ex-husband.

20. Which Punisher Blade mentions that "The Punisher" was also killed by Cassandra, but Deadpool quips, "Which Punisher? There have been four Punishers!"
Actors who have played "The Punisher" in film history include Dolph Lundgren in 1989, Thomas Jane in 2004's The Punisher, Ray Stevenson in 2008's Punisher: War Zone (this film was actually a reboot, not a sequel), and Jon Bernthal, who has been playing the role in the Netflix series since 2016.

21. Gambit Channing Tatum's "Gambit" says he has no memory of being a hero, which is because the Channing Tatum version of the "Gambit" movie never successfully got made. He was originally cast as Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2007, but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Later, Fox actively developed his solo film, but it was repeatedly shelved due to various behind-the-scenes issues, and ultimately canceled after Disney acquired Fox.

22. Only One Blade Blade grumbles in the car, "There was only one Blade, and there will only be one." Deadpool then turns to the audience with a subtle expression. This is an allusion to the Mahershala Ali version of the Blade movie, which has been in development for years and is still struggling.

23. X-23's Sunglasses During the confrontation with Cassandra's faction of villains, X-23 puts on the sunglasses she stole from the convenience store in the movie Logan.

24. The Music Man Deadpool says he's going to force Cassandra to watch Wolverine's impromptu performance of The Music Man (translated as The Greatest Showman in Taiwanese subtitles for easier understanding). This is the Broadway musical Hugh Jackman is currently touring.

25. Reynolds Family Cameos The Reynolds family all participated in Deadpool & Wolverine. In addition to his wife Blake Lively's cameo as "Lady Deadpool," their daughters Inez (playing the foul-mouthed child Deadpool) and James (playing the "Screaming Mutant"), and even their newborn son Olin (playing Baby Deadpool) all made cameo appearances in this film~

26. The Inevitable Stan Lee Easter Egg During the Deadpool variant free-for-all, a bus appears with an advertisement for a cleaning company endorsed by "Marvel Father" Stan Lee.

27. Roasting Batman Wolverine finally dons the classic comic mask that fans have long awaited. Deadpool takes the opportunity to quip, "As scary as Batman, just more mobile," subtly criticizing the inconvenient headpiece design in the Keaton-era Batman films.

28. Shawarma After the battle, Deadpool and Wolverine eat shawarma by the roadside. Deadpool even asks him if he knows that the "Avengers" discovered shawarma, which is, of course, a homage to the post-credits scene of The Avengers 1.

29. B-15 Hunter B-15 from the Loki series returns in this film, having been promoted to a high-ranking TVA officer. Later in the film, she is dispatched to arrest "Mr. Paradox" for attempting to forcibly eliminate Universe 10005, and she promises Deadpool to help the other displaced variants in "The Void" return to their respective universes.

30. Feige's Pizza Deadpool brings Wolverine and X-23 home for another pizza party with his "family." The pizza they eat is called Feige's Famous, a tribute to Kevin Feige, and this pizza first appeared in the first Deadpool movie~

31. Goodbye Fox Universe In the end credits, behind-the-scenes highlights from Fox Universe films, including the X-Men series and Fantastic Four, are shown, officially bidding farewell to this memory that accompanied many for 20 years.

32. Post-Credits Scene In the post-credits scene, Deadpool replays a TVA recording, clarifying that he didn't slander Human Torch; he indeed said many nasty things about Cassandra along the way. This scene is probably when Chris Evans contributed the most profanity to Marvel, as he was PG-13 when he was "Captain America," and "Captain America"'s persona wouldn't allow for such harsh language.
