Following the recent finale of the "WandaVision" spinoff "Agatha All Along," which fans have hailed as another "masterpiece" for its suspenseful, twist-filled plot, new reports indicate the show is gearing up for a major awards season run. According to Variety, Disney and Marvel will be submitting "Agatha All Along" for consideration at next year's Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, where it could compete against acclaimed series like "The Bear," "Abbott Elementary," and HBO's "Hacks."
Notably, Disney is submitting "Agatha All Along" in the Comedy Series category rather than the previously anticipated Limited Series category. The report suggests this move could hint at the possibility of the show being renewed for future seasons.
The news has also left Marvel fans wondering when Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff, will make her next appearance. Amid rumors that Marvel is secretly developing a solo "Scarlet Witch" film, Elizabeth Olsen recently gave fans an exciting answer at a meet-and-greet event.
"Honestly, if I told you what I really want to do, it would probably be a spoiler," Olsen explained to the fans in attendance. "Kevin Feige is very receptive to our ideas about the characters and tries to make them happen as much as possible, so I'm not sure if I can say anything. But I really do want to come back."
While a characteristically cautious answer, it seems to confirm that Olsen and Marvel still have unfinished business. In addition to the unconfirmed "Scarlet Witch" solo film, a separate series centered on Vision is also in development. The finale of "Agatha All Along" may offer a glimpse into what's to come, as the series concluded with Agatha giving her life to Death and embarking on a journey as a spirit with Billy (the Wiccan) to find his brother, Tommy. However Marvel decides to continue exploring the magical world surrounding the Scarlet Witch, fans are eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.
