Forbes magazine recently unveiled financial details regarding Disney’s investment in the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" prequel series, "Andor." The report indicates that the combined production budget for both Season 1 and Season 2 has now skyrocketed to an estimated $645 million. This makes "Andor" Season 2 the most expensive Disney-era "Star Wars" production in terms of annual spending. It surpasses previous big-budget films like "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," which cost $280 million, and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," with a budget of $243 million. The final cost for "Andor" Season 2 is projected to climb even higher once post-production is fully completed.
