Live-action adaptations of manga, whether for TV or film, are practically old news these days. But when it comes to AV adaptations of anime and manga, that's where things get interesting! These often spark debate, with many fans praising their quality and "utility," and some even clearly showing a deep love for the source material in their production.
Hold up! Over on Japanese X (formerly Twitter), everyone's been buzzing about GIGA, a studio famous for its 18+ tokusatsu. But here's the kicker: they're not just churning out adult tokusatsu flicks; they've actually started making mainstream tokusatsu productions! And get this – the quality is so good it rivals your typical Japanese tokusatsu shows. Netizens are absolutely floored, calling them total tokusatsu masters.
The post that kicked off this whole frenzy came from a user whose assistant manager told them after work, "Hey, there's a Sentai movie on YouTube you can watch for free, go check it out!" So, they did, and were blown away by the awesome special effects and action – super entertaining! But when they raved about it, they got hit with the bombshell: "Actually, there's an AV version of the 'what if' scenario where he gets totally owned by the monster." Cue jaw drop! What in the world?!
Seriously, are you pulling my leg? This level of quality is for an AV?! It looks like a full-blown tokusatsu Sentai series!
The user was actually watching GIGA's "JINJYUGAR Sentai Jinjyugar" (JINJYUGAR), which is available on their YouTube channel. And get this, they've even dropped a new series recently called "Super Heroine Rangers in Grave DangerSP"! Clearly, GIGA is no joke – they're an AV company that takes their tokusatsu productions super seriously and are pretty famous in the biz for it.
It's not just the props, costumes, and sets that are absolutely on point; even the fight choreography is next-level! The user couldn't help but marvel, "Seriously, why on earth is this an AV...?"
And netizens totally agree, saying if you didn't know any better, you'd absolutely think this was a brand-new Super Sentai series!
Of course, GIGA has been crushing the tokusatsu game for years. It seems they've only recently started dropping all-ages versions on YouTube, probably to snag a wider audience and let more people witness their incredible production prowess.
Even Japanese AV actress Sakura Tsukishima, who boasts an impressive H-cup figure and was part of the crew, chimed in! She raved about GIGA's insane dedication to the series, from the meticulous set details to the costumes practically custom-fitted for each actress. She called them a rare gem in the industry, a company that actually invests big to churn out top-tier productions.
All we can say is this series totally nails what audiences want, and it's genuinely blown a lot of people away that an AV company can churn out such mind-blowing tokusatsu. So, if your curiosity is piqued, why not check it out and see if it's your cup of tea?
