Early last month, American entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider claimed that Marvel Studios, which had previously resisted recasting T'Challa following Chadwick Boseman's passing, was now reportedly seeking a new actor to portray a new version of T'Challa. Sneider's report suggested that Marvel had already begun reaching out to certain actors, with the new T'Challa set to debut in the third "Black Panther" film. However, that report has now been refuted by Marvel Studios' Vice President of Production and Development, Nate Moore.

In a recent exclusive interview with ComicBook.com, Moore revealed that the rumors were not true. He added that while one should "never say never," they had not yet engaged in deep creative discussions with "Black Panther" series director Ryan Coogler. This was because Coogler was currently completing a film titled "Sinner" that was slated for release this year. Moore stated that they would begin those discussions later in the year, concluding that everything seen online was simply not true, for the simple reason that they hadn't even started talking about it yet.
Additionally, Moore discussed the implications of "Captain America: Brave New World" introducing Adamantium, and what effect its appearance might have on Wakanda, which possesses the rare resource of Vibranium. He believed Wakanda would have its own perspective on the emergence of Adamantium, and also believed the nation would have its own views on Sam Wilson taking on the mantle of Captain America. Evidently, they supported him, as they had provided him with some technological assistance. However, the relationship between Wakanda and the U.S. government was not harmonious, suggesting potential conflicts on many fronts. Moore felt that both Wakanda and Captain America were well-suited for weaving a political thriller narrative, as it truly involved issues of globalization and global politics, making anything possible.
