Gearbox Software's highly anticipated new installment in the "Borderlands" series, "Borderlands 4," debuted a brand-new gameplay trailer today during PlayStation's "State of Play" online showcase, also confirming the game's release date.
Here, players will embody one of four brand-new Vault Hunters, venturing across the alien planet Kairo with their companions in pursuit of fortune and glory. Beyond showcasing powerful active skills and deep skill trees for personalized builds, players can also leverage dynamic movement abilities to flexibly counter enemies and confront the tyrannical "Chronos Overlord," aiming to overthrow his oppressive rule and unleash chaos upon this world.
"Borderlands 4" is slated for release on September 23, 2025. Gearbox Software also announced plans for a dedicated "State of Play" showcase for the game later this spring, promising to reveal more gameplay footage and an arsenal of new weapons.
