Last April, Lionsgate announced at CinemaCon that a live-action "Monopoly" film, which had been stuck in development for over a decade, would finally move forward with Margot Robbie's LuckyChap Entertainment producing. Robbie herself is also attached as a producer. Now, nearly a year later, the project has found its writing-directing duo: John Francis Daley (pictured right) and Jonathan Goldstein (pictured left), the acclaimed filmmakers behind "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves."

Goldstein and Daley are primarily known for their screenwriting work in Hollywood, initially making a name for themselves in comedy with early credits including "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" and the "Horrible Bosses" franchise. They later transitioned to working on major IP projects, contributing to the screenplays for films like "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "The Flash." In recent years, they've earned widespread acclaim from fans for writing and directing the critically praised "Game Night" and "Honor Among Thieves."
