第 78 屆金球獎的入圍名單今日由莎拉潔西卡帕克（Sarah Jessica Parker）與泰拉姬（Taraji P. Henson） 兩人一同公佈，本次的獎季熱門作品《芝加哥七人案：驚世審判》與《曼克》不負眾望獲得諸多提名，口碑沸騰的女性復仇電影《花漾女子》亦攻進最佳導演、最佳劇情類影片等重要獎項。
十四年前曾憑第一集《芭樂特：哈薩克青年必修（理）美國文化》（Borat：Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan）拿下音樂與喜劇類影帝的薩夏拜倫柯恩，今年除了捲土回歸再以相同角色被提名，也憑《芝加哥七人案》入圍男配，氣勢極旺。
另外，今年表現同樣深受矚目的安雅泰勒喬伊，更一舉靠著新版《艾瑪》和超高人氣迷你劇《后翼棄兵》（The Queen's Gambit）同時被提名了音樂與喜劇類影后及迷你影集或電視電影最佳女主角，大銀幕和小螢幕皆成績斐然。頒獎典禮於 02 月 28 日登場。
