Now, the brand is teaming up with Riyoko Ikeda's shojo manga masterpiece, "The Rose of Versailles," for a stunning new collaboration watch! "The Rose of Versailles" (also known as "Berusaiyu no Bara") originally ran from 1972 to 1973 in Shueisha's shojo manga magazine, "Margaret." The story is a beautiful tale set in the opulent Palace of Versailles during the late 18th-century Bourbon dynasty, following a young noblewoman who disguises herself as a man to serve as a palace guard and her encounter with a princess from the royal family.
With over 20 million copies in circulation, the series has garnered immense fan support since its serialization. It has since been adapted into a stage play by the Takarazuka Revue and a TV anime, sparking a massive cultural phenomenon. This year, a brand-new theatrical anime film is set to release, solidifying its status as a legendary work in the shojo manga world.
The entire watch draws inspiration from protagonist Oscar's golden hair and the aristocratic flair of "The Rose of Versailles."
