Guitar Sold Online in Japan Ends Up in the Hands of Oasis' Bonehead in the UK! Fans Call It a "Miracle"

Ever sold something online? In this digital age, online marketplaces make it super easy to find a new home for your pre-loved gear. But have you ever wondered who actually ends up with your stuff?

A Japanese guitar enthusiast recently dropped a bombshell on X, sharing an unbelievable story. A guitar he sold on the second-hand platform "Mercari" late last year somehow made its way to the UK, only to land in the hands of his idol, Oasis' former member Bonehead (real name: Paul Arthurs)! This wild journey has sparked a massive buzz online.

The user, known as "Shisouka Taro NEO," wrote that when he saw Bonehead's photo on Instagram, he immediately thought, "Wait, that guitar looks incredibly familiar!" After a closer look, he was stunned to realize it was the exact same guitar he owned and sold last year!

▼ Bonehead shared his new guitar on his personal Instagram account.

The user detailed the incredible chain of events: "I sold it on Mercari → it was bought by an overseas buyer via a proxy service (looks like a guitar shop in the UK) → and finally, Bonehead bought it." He confirmed it was undoubtedly his old axe, matching everything from the color, scratches, and wood grain to the "E" print on the pickguard.

He excitedly exclaimed, "I never in a million years thought it would end up with Bonehead... It might sound weird, but knowing my favorite guitarist owns it makes selling that guitar totally worth it!"

He sentimentally added that he's just an ordinary office worker who loves playing guitar, and he never dreamed his humble instrument would cross oceans to be picked up by Bonehead. "I'm so happy! Time to celebrate by putting Oasis' classic 'Up In The Sky' on repeat!"

Even more surprisingly, he penned a heartfelt English post to Bonehead: "I'm a Japanese Oasis fan and the former owner of this guitar. Even though I didn't get tickets for the reunion tour... I'll be supporting you all the way! I truly can't believe this guitar ended up in the hands of my favorite guitarist, I'm so grateful! Thank you @BoneheadsPage!"

(Quick note: Bonehead might be a former Oasis member, but he is joining them for their 2025 world tour!)

And guess what? Bonehead himself actually saw and replied to the post! The fan's excitement was palpable: "He saw it!!!! Thank you, Bonehead, wishing you a successful tour!"

Netizens flooded the comments, saying things like: "Having your guitar end up with a famous musician? That's definitely something to be thrilled about!" "It's a total miracle!" "So touching, I wish something like that would happen to me!" "If that guitar actually shows up at a future concert in Japan, that would be epic!" "These magical connections between musicians really give you goosebumps."

One user even joked, "I wonder if the David Bowie record I sold also ended up in the hands of some big shot..."

It just goes to show you, who would've thought an online sale could bridge thousands of miles between Japan and the UK, landing a guitar in the hands of a legend? It's truly mind-boggling, and no wonder so many netizens are calling it a modern-day "musical miracle story."
