The latest Gundam anime, "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," which premiered this season, is now deep into its latter half. Its high-octane action and mysterious plot twists have sparked massive fan discussions and sent merchandise sales soaring.
But hold up – a Japanese YouTube channel called "officialアイアムマン" (official IAMMAN) just took fandom to the next level! They decided to build "Gonki," the adorable quadruped robot Shuji carries around in the show. Not only did they recreate its look, but they also packed it with a ton of playful, multi-functional features that have fans absolutely buzzing. Who knew you could do *this* with a fictional robot?!
Meet "Gonki" – the trusty quadruped bot always trotting alongside Shuji, complete with those distinctive tentacle-like "feelers" up front.
They started by 3D printing the model, then kitted it out with robotic components and functional setups, all to bring Gonki to life.
Next up: painting and assembling the printed outer shell, and voilà! Done!
So, what exactly can this quadruped robot "Gonki" do? Let's dive in!
▼ Pop open the top right of its chassis, and out extends a handy clamp for securing objects.
▼ The top left compartment reveals a built-in light for illumination – powered by a 100-yen lamp from Daiso, no less!
▼ Around the back, there's a quick printer that operates via a smartphone app, just like in the anime!
▼ And of course, it's fully remote-controlled, letting you guide its every move.
▼ Those two tentacle-like "hands" in the front? They double as a stand for your phone or other items! LOL.
But the absolute best part? Those "hands" also hide an automatic dumpling-making machine – a perfect recreation of its anime function! LOL.
Just pop the wrapper and filling onto its "hands," a few simple steps, and boom – perfectly folded dumplings! (Honestly, it even makes them better than Nean does in the show, LOL!)

This incredible blend of experimentation and creativity has earned massive praise from netizens. Who would've thought someone would actually build this quadruped robot and nail all its anime functions? Pure genius! LOL.
