Sylvester Stallone has found a new signature role in television in recent years, with the critically acclaimed mob drama "Tulsa King" revitalizing his popularity and quickly moving into its third season of production. The show's impressive viewership has naturally allowed its narrative to expand, exploring other potential spin-offs. Today, Variety exclusively reported that "Tulsa King" is already developing its first spin-off series.

Variety indicated that the spin-off, titled "NOLA King," will star Samuel L. Jackson. He is set to portray a new character with a similar nature to Stallone's, and this character will first appear as a guest star in the third season of "Tulsa King." Jackson will also serve as an executive producer for "NOLA King."
Dave Erickson, who previously served as a co-writer on "Mayor of Kingstown" — another series executive produced by "Tulsa King" creator Taylor Sheridan — has been tapped as the showrunner for "NOLA King." Taylor Sheridan is the creator and co-executive producer of "Tulsa King."
