▼ As soon as the episode dropped, the top four trending topics on Japan's X (formerly Twitter) were all related, including "Nean," "Kycilia," and the series hashtag.
The "Sharon's Rose" attack location coordinates were given by Kycilia Zabi, who wanted Nean to trigger "Zekunova" again. Nean was tasked with piloting "GQuuuuuuX Unit 2" GFreD to control "Sharon's Rose" in space and launch the attack, with these coordinates as her guide.
Nean infiltrated the "Sharon's Rose" location and used GFreD's hidden "hacking" function to take control, unleashing a wide-range "Zekunova" beam. Following the coordinates, the cosmic fortress was instantly obliterated by the blast.
One eagle-eyed netizen discovered that the coordinate numbers could be deciphered using a hexadecimal code, revealing the names "Kenshi Yonezu Hachi" and "Hoshimachi Suisei"! This left many fans scratching their heads, convinced it couldn't be a coincidence, but wondering what it all meant.
Of course, these two happen to be responsible for the opening and ending theme songs of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX"! So, while it's likely just a fun easter egg, the cleverness of using a hexadecimal cipher earned major props from netizens, who praised the production team's attention to detail and the sharp wit of the fan who managed to crack the code!
With the plot heading towards its grand finale, fans are clearly scrutinizing every last detail in the anime. But for a hidden gem like this to be cracked so quickly? It just goes to show you should never underestimate the power of Gundam fans!
