Following "Himiko Toga 2D Color Ver.", Japanese figure company BellFine (株式会社ベルファイン) is once again releasing a new product from the popular anime "My Hero Academia" under its Palette Masters series, which specializes in 2D flat painting: the "Tsuyu Asui Hero Suit 2D Color Ver." 1/8 scale pre-painted figure. It has a suggested retail price of 20,350 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2026!
Tsuyu Asui, from Class 1-A at U.A. High School, has the hero name "Froppy" (Rainy Season Hero). Her Quirk is "Frog," allowing her to do almost anything a frog can! Tsuyu has a calm and composed personality, maintaining her cool in many unexpected situations, and has made significant contributions in arcs such as the USJ incident, training camp, and the Shie Hassaikai arc!
This "Tsuyu Asui Hero Suit 2D Color Ver." stands approximately 20 cm tall and is a repaint based on the "Tsuyu Asui Hero Suit" released in 2018. It sculpts Tsuyu's body curves and the intricate details of her hero costume, capturing a dynamic pose as if she's leaping from water. Interchangeable parts allow for two expression states: "extended long tongue" or "closed mouth." The figure features a stylized 2D flat painting technique, meticulously capturing the light and shadow effects seen in the anime. The overall flat coloring and the "SPLASH" effect lettering at the base perfectly complement the style, creating the illusion of a flat image from any angle when properly lit, offering a completely different visual experience from the original version!
