Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY's "Nendoroid" series, which features over a thousand characters, is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "Hunter x Hunter"—the "Gon Freecss Hunter Exam Ver." action figure. The suggested retail price is 6,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in November 2025!
The Hunter Exam Arc is the first chapter of "Hunter x Hunter," telling the story of Gon, driven by curiosity about his father's profession, leaving Whale Island to participate in the Hunter Exam. There, he meets his companions Kurapika and Leorio, and his best friend Killua, and together they overcome the challenges of the exam. Iconic moments such as Tonpa the Rookie Crusher's juice, and the long candle or short candle dilemma, have become beloved segments for fans!
This Nendoroid Gon Freecss Hunter Exam Ver. stands approximately 10 cm tall, faithfully recreating Gon's full green and red outfit from when he first embarked on his adventure. The head sculpt appears to partially reuse the version released in 2023, with paintwork that captures his black hair with green highlights, and various details of his attire are reproduced in the Nendoroid's adorable proportions! Three expression plates are included: an energetic face, a combat face, and a troubled face. Accessories include a backpack and a fishing rod, allowing you to display cute interactions between Gon and the simultaneously announced "Killua Zoldyck"!
Furthermore, pre-ordering from the GOODSMILE official website will include a special base designed like Gon's #405 number tag from the number tag stealing game!
