Capcom's highly anticipated new title, Monster Hunter Wilds, smashed records on Steam on its launch day and has kept players hooked since its late February release. Beyond the thrilling hunts, many players are now diving into the character creator to recreate real-life people or beloved anime characters, turning it into a whole new kind of fun.
Recently, Japanese X user moskti (@moskti56948) blew up the internet by using Monster Hunter Wilds' character editor to perfectly recreate the dashing Baron from Studio Ghibli's beloved classic, "The Cat Returns"! Fans are absolutely losing it, hailing the "insanely accurate outfit!"
Studio Ghibli's 2002 film, "The Cat Returns," is a familiar favorite, where protagonist Haru saves Prince Lune of the Cat Kingdom, leading to the Cat King's attempts to repay her. The suave Baron, whose full name is Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, runs the "Cat Bureau" and was originally designed for Ghibli's earlier film, "Whisper of the Heart."
Moskti utilized Monster Hunter Wilds' character customization to bring the elegant and handsome Baron from "The Cat Returns" straight into the game, nailing his iconic stance with incredible precision!
The secret to recreating this dapper cat-headed gentleman lies in the event quest "Three's a Crowd, Kematoris!", which just dropped on June 4th. Complete it, and you'll snag the super cute new headpiece, "Felyne Mask α." Pop it on, and your hunter's head transforms into a Felyne face—instant Baron!
This new headpiece is a perfect match for the Baron's face. But moskti didn't stop there, meticulously crafting the entire outfit to capture not just the character's essence, but also that undeniable cinematic gentlemanly vibe!
And get this—they even created Prince Lune! Not only is the fur color spot-on, but they also nailed his golden collar and heterochromia. Standing next to the Baron, the whole scene just *pops*!
Fans who saw these "The Cat Returns" recreations were absolutely blown away, exclaiming, "It's the Baron, OMG!!!" "Never thought Ghibli characters, even cats, could appear in Monster Hunter!" and "Wow, the accuracy is insane, hats off!"
