"Awa Washi" is a traditional handmade paper from Tokushima Prefecture on Japan's Shikoku island, boasting over 1300 years of history. It's recognized as one of Japan's three great Washi papers (alongside Echizen Washi and Mino Washi). Today, Awa Washi isn't just a cultural treasure; it's also integrated with modern design elements, finding wide application in fashion, stationery, and art. This paper exudes warmth and taste, both visually and tactilely, embodying the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.
For this special collection, "Awa Washi" is ingeniously used for both the watch face and strap, creating three exclusive models themed around Eren, Levi, and Erwin.
The delicate texture of the Awa Washi on the watch face and strap perfectly captures the cracked, rugged aesthetic of the "Attack on Titan" logo. The watch hands are even styled after the series' iconic "Ultrahard Steel Blades," channeling the cool factor of the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear. At the 4 o'clock position on the dial, the Survey Corps' symbolic "Wings of Freedom" emblem spins with every passing second.
