Director Zach Cregger, who has garnered significant industry attention in recent years for his critically acclaimed horror film "Barbarian," is set to release his latest self-written and directed horror feature, "Weapons," this August. The second trailer for the film was unveiled today. Similar to the teaser trailer released in late April, it continues to hold back many plot details, maintaining a strong sense of mystery and building anticipation.

The official synopsis states: On the same night, at the same time, every child in the same class mysteriously vanishes, except for one. The entire town begins to question who or what is behind the disappearance of these children. The film is set in the same universe as "Barbarian," serving as a spin-off in the series. It is scheduled for release in North America on August 8.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring several Marvel Cinematic Universe alumni, including Benedict Wong (known for playing Wong), Julia Garner (who is set to appear as Shalla-Bal / Silver Surfer in "The Fantastic Four: First Steps"), Josh Brolin (Thanos), and Alden Ehrenreich (who will be seen in the upcoming Marvel series "Ironheart"). Rounding out the cast is Austin Abrams, a familiar face from the popular HBO series "Euphoria."
