Shuichi Shigeno's iconic racing manga, Initial D, has been a fan favorite for ages. Its sequel, "MF Ghost," even got an anime adaptation in 2023 and is wrapping up its run this year. But don't fret, a brand-new sequel, "Subaru and Comet," is set to kick off serialization mid-to-late July with its first chapter!
Now, the legendary American lighter brand Zippo is teaming up with Initial D for an exclusive, limited-edition metal lighter. It features a meticulously laser-engraved classic manga scene, crafted with artisan precision. Priced at 16,500 JPY, only 150 units will be made, available for pre-order on CAMSHOP.JP.

The chosen scene for this Initial D Zippo is pure adrenaline: Takumi Fujiwara executing his signature "blind attack" on a corner. Right before the finish line, he's up against pro racer Tomoyuki Tachi in his Honda Civic Type-R Spoon (EK9), shouting, "I won't give up... If there's an opening, I'll definitely go for it!" (あきらめないぞ…スキがあれば絶対行くっ!), capturing that electrifying moment he crosses the finish line for the win.

For many fans, this scene is an absolute goosebump-inducing, heart-pounding classic. Thanks to laser engraving technology, the intricate, multi-layered design truly pops, and combined with the metal's inherent quality, it feels incredibly substantial in hand. The lighter boasts a glossy Gun Metallic finish, shifting between silver and black hues depending on the angle.

Each lighter also features a unique serial number engraved on its side, making every single piece a one-of-a-kind, highly collectible limited item.
