Marvel Cinematic Universe alums Dave Bautista and Samuel L. Jackson are set to reunite this summer in the upcoming comic book adaptation "Afterburn." The film recently unveiled its first trailer and a new promotional poster (pictured below).
Joining Bautista and Jackson in the cast are Eden Epstein, Kristofer Hivju, Olga Kurylenko, and Daniel Bernhardt. While "Afterburn" is slated for an August 21 release in Germany and Greece, its North American release date remains unconfirmed.

Directed by J.J. Perry, known for "Day Shift," "Afterburn" is set a decade after a devastating solar flare destroyed global technology. Bautista stars as Jake, a former soldier who now works as a treasure hunter, retrieving invaluable artifacts from the old world's desolate landscapes for powerful clients. His latest mission sees him teaming up with Jackson's character, Drea, a freedom fighter, to recover the "Mona Lisa" before it falls into the hands of a ruthless warlord.
