The official Pokémon retail chain, Pokémon Center, consistently draws massive crowds in Japan, with new merchandise drops frequently selling out in a flash.
Today (July 18), the official announcement dropped: Japan's J1 professional football team, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, is teaming up with Pokémon Center Hiroshima for their first-ever collaboration! This commemorative merchandise line is set to hit Japanese stores on Saturday, August 16.

Pokémon Center Hiroshima just relocated to the 2nd floor of ekie at Hiroshima Station North Exit this April, unveiling a brand-new look! Following a previous collaboration with local NPB team Hiroshima Toyo Carp, this partnership with Sanfrecce Hiroshima marks the second wave of commemorative merchandise celebrating the grand reopening.
The collaboration's design centers around Sanfrecce Hiroshima's signature purple, featuring adorable Teddiursa and Pikachu alongside team crest-inspired graphics. Even serious-looking Ursaring and Ursaluna are joining the fun!

This football-themed collaboration with Sanfrecce Hiroshima is all about cheering and spectating, offering a wide range of items. Fans can grab apparel like T-shirts, hats, and sports towels, plus must-have fan gear such as cheering Teddiursa & Pikachu mascot plushies – perfect for showing off that local team spirit at the stadium!
