"Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," often dubbed the "bishonen boy band" Gundam by fans, is definitely unforgettable. Not only are the characters dashing, but even the voice actors garnered a massive following, making it a rare Gundam series that captivated a significant female audience. This year's 30th-anniversary commemorative video, "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing -Operation 30th-," also sparked quite a buzz.
Today (August 5), Bandai announced they're bringing Heero's iconic "teddy bear" from the series, given to Relena, to life as a charm! Priced at 3,300 JPY, it's currently available for pre-order on Bandai's Premium Bandai Japan website.
If you recall, this adorable bear made its appearance in the anime's OP1, where Relena gently wipes snow off it. Of course, in the actual story, Heero, disguised as a staff member, secretly placed a birthday card and the bear on her plane seat. Relena, upon discovering it, promptly tore up the card, a direct callback to Heero famously shredding her party invitation!
Bandai has faithfully recreated this bear as a plush charm, complete with a letter-shaped decorative tag, just like the one Heero left on her seat!
