Gunpla Meets Zoids! Japanese Creator's "MG Gundam Bael x Liger Zero X" Build Is Absolutely Wild

Gunpla fans know the drill – painting, cutting, weathering, you name it. It's all about making your kit unique and unleashing endless creative freedom by mixing in other themes and elements.

This time, we're spotlighting Japanese Gunpla builder Sunayanagi ( @y0kJIfDsBheOu8Q ), who took the plunge and fused "ZOIDS" elements with a Gundam for a totally fresh take. The star of this wild mashup? The "Gundam Bael" from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans." And yeah, the internet is absolutely loving the jaw-dropping results.

Sunayanagi's main canvas was Bandai's "MG Gundam Bael," released this past March. The other half of this epic combo is the "Liger Zero X" from ZOIDS. The idea? See what kind of insane possibilities would open up by smashing these two together.

The whole build, from the seamless splicing to the coordinated paint job, resulted in a beast with four legs and six arms. Topping it off with the badass "Buster Claw Lance" design, Sunayanagi dubbed this creation "MG Gundam Bael X-Cowl."

The backpack and other sections boast deployable mechanisms. But as you can probably tell, this thing is seriously top-heavy. To keep it from toppling over, meticulous weight distribution and reinforcement throughout were absolutely crucial.

The lance can be wielded with both hands on one side, thanks to those handy sub-arms on the back.

Check out the firing mode for the "Electron Driver" + "Buster Claw Beam Cannon"!

Since "X" is in the name, the lower sub-arms got a special upgrade with swords from Gundam Kimaris, bringing the total blade count to a whopping 10!

He's also pulled off a Barbatos x Zoids mashup before, so let's see how they stack up side-by-side!

Feeling inspired to try a custom build like this yourself? Grab your Gunpla and Zoids and give it a shot – you might just create something even cooler!
