In March, Tony Gilroy, the acclaimed screenwriter behind the "Bourne" franchise and showrunner for the "Star Wars" spin-off series "Andor," was developing his next film, "Behemoth!" He had tapped Oscar Isaac, known for his role as Poe Dameron in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy and having previously collaborated with Gilroy on "The Bourne Legacy," to star. However, more than five months later, those plans have shifted.

Deadline recently reported that prolific actor Pedro Pascal is now in talks to star in "Behemoth!," with Isaac having exited the project. Pascal and Isaac are longtime friends, having known each other for over two decades. Both are also prominent figures in both the Marvel and "Star Wars" universes: Isaac portrays Moon Knight in the MCU, while Pascal is set to play the new Mr. Fantastic. Pascal also leads the "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian." The two previously co-starred in "Triple Frontier."
"Behemoth!" is written and directed by Gilroy and will be distributed by Searchlight Pictures. Plot details are currently under wraps, though it is known that the protagonist will be a cellist.
