New details continue to emerge for the fourth installment in the MCU's "Spider-Man" series, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," including cast additions and on-set footage.
The film is reportedly set to feature Spider-Man facing off against Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Jon Bernthal's Punisher. Additionally, Michael Mando is confirmed to reprise his role as Scorpion, while other villains such as Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, and Ramrod are also rumored to appear.
However, scooper Daniel Richtman suggests that the actual "big bad" will be neither these rumored characters nor the previously speculated Mister Negative.

This revelation immediately ignited fervent fan discussions, with many hoping for the introduction of a fresh take on the Green Goblin to pose an unprecedented threat to Peter Parker. However, given Spider-Man's extensive rogue's gallery, numerous other possibilities remain.
Concurrently, several photos from the set's costume department have surfaced online. While not considered major spoilers, these images offer a glimpse into potential comic book panel designs that director Destin Daniel Cretton may be drawing inspiration from. Furthermore, the production schedule indicates that the crew is slated to film a montage battle sequence between Spider-Man and Scorpion soon, further heightening fan anticipation for the action set pieces.

Director Cretton previously stated at CinemaCon that the team is dedicated to crafting an unprecedented Spider-Man experience for audiences, focusing on intricate suit details, dynamic web-slinging, and profound emotional depth. Tom Holland, in a separate video message, underscored that "Brand New Day" marks a fresh start for the entire Spider-Man saga. The film is currently slated for release on July 31, 2026.
