Now, after an eight-month wait, today (August 19), Yoshihiro Togashi has officially updated his personal X (formerly Twitter) account, sharing his work progress and current status. Unsurprisingly, the post immediately sent the internet into a frenzy!

The post is tagged No. 413, strongly suggesting it's for chapter 413. While it only shows background art, the sheer number of pages indicates that work is indeed progressing.
Togashi's last post was way back in December 2024, when he shared corrections for the collected volume of chapter 410. Eight months later, his return to social media seems to signal a genuine restart to his work.

However, it's worth noting that last November, Togashi was already proofreading dialogue for chapter 413. This might imply that there hasn't been significant new progress over the past half-year, suggesting he was genuinely taking time to recover.
Back in December, Togashi had stated: "I am currently checking and adjusting the dialogue and timeline for the next 50 chapters. Once confirmed, I will resume drafting the manuscript from where I left off."
He also previously revealed a file containing character data, meticulously organized with names and information. It appears to be related to the Ninth Prince and his private soldiers, indicating that the "Succession Contest Arc" still has plenty of ground to cover.
After eight months, we finally have an update! While a short-term return might still be a stretch, the glimmer of hope for Hunter x Hunter to resume serialization is definitely shining brighter.
