Ben Stiller, who has reduced his on-screen appearances in recent years to focus on behind-the-scenes work, helped create the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series "Severance." He has personally directed 11 episodes of the show. However, with a busy schedule and other projects in development, Stiller will inevitably "sever" some time to dedicate to other works, reducing his involvement with "Severance." He confirmed this during a recent interview with The Los Angeles Times.

Stiller revealed to The Los Angeles Times that he will not direct any episodes of "Severance" Season 3, stating that "projects take time to make, and the older you get, the more you realize how little time we have." Stiller's limited availability for Season 3 stems from his current preparations to direct a World War II survival thriller. The film, slated to begin production next spring, will tell the true story of a pilot who crashes in occupied France and subsequently joins the French Resistance.

In addition to the thriller, Stiller is also reportedly set to return to acting for other projects, including a fourth installment in the "Meet the Parents" franchise and an HBO musical comedy series.
