Keisuke Itagaki's "Baki-Dou" Anime Confirmed for 2026 Netflix Global Exclusive Release

Manga maestro Keisuke Itagaki's iconic "Baki" series has been tearing it up on Netflix, with two seasons of the "Baki Hanma" anime and the epic crossover "Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura" already under its belt. Clearly, this legendary franchise still has plenty of fight left in it!

Last March, fans got hyped when it was announced that "Baki-Dou," another installment in the "Baki" saga, would be getting an anime adaptation. And today (September 5th), the official word is out: "Baki-Dou" is set to drop on Netflix in 2026, complete with a brand-new trailer!

"Baki-Dou" serves as a spin-off, picking up right after the "Strongest Father-Son Fight on Earth" arc in "Baki Hanma." The premise? Using cutting-edge cloning tech, the legendary Miyamoto Musashi, hailed as Japan's strongest martial artist, is resurrected in the modern era. Get ready for an insane, cross-temporal showdown as Baki, Retsu Kaioh, Izou Motobe, Yujiro Hanma, and even the prehistoric Pickle face off against this unhinged warrior from the past!

It's a logical next step for the anime, following the events of "Baki Hanma," and just like its predecessor, "Baki-Dou" will be a Netflix exclusive. Production duties remain with TMS Entertainment, the studio behind previous installments. Fans of the series should definitely keep an eye out for more official updates!
