Three months ago, Glen Powell's ex-girlfriend, Gigi Paris, publicly accused him on a podcast of intentionally fabricating romance rumors with his "Anyone but You" co-star Sydney Sweeney to promote the film, without considering her feelings, which ultimately led to their breakup. Recently, while promoting his new series "Chad Powers" and the upcoming film "The Running Man," Powell finally addressed his ex-girlfriend's claims in an interview with GQ.

Regarding Paris's statements, Powell responded, "I will always have nothing but love and respect for her. Everybody's always going to have their own narrative on things, and she's welcome to it. Relationships are really hard, and when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch and they will each tell their own narrative."
Powell also revealed that his "Top Gun: Maverick" co-star and mentor, Tom Cruise, privately reached out to him about the situation and offered some invaluable advice. Powell recounted, "He basically said, 'Hey, the noise is going to get really, really loud. It's your job to just turn the volume down. Just remember you have your hand on that switch. You have your hand on the ability to turn up that noise or turn it down.' And really just turning down the noise and trusting your own gut has been a real godsend for me."
