The fallout from the shooting incident involving prominent conservative political activist Charlie Kirk continues to intensify. On Monday's episode of the long-running talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", host Jimmy Kimmel joked that MAGA groups were quick to distance themselves from the shooter, jokingly implying they had orchestrated it. The segment, part of the episode's opening monologue, immediately drew widespread condemnation from conservatives, and ABC has since made the drastic decision to indefinitely suspend the show.

Prior to the suspension, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) had already received complaints from conservative organizations. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr had quickly signaled potential action against ABC, and the network's decision soon followed. Following news of the suspension, actor and comedian Ben Stiller and California Governor Gavin Newsom both reacted online.
