Now, they're back at it, announcing another partnership with Toei Animation's original anime, Girls Band Cry—a series they've collaborated with before! This time, they're dropping a special edition over-ear headphone, the "ANIMA AOW03," priced at 25,000 JPY. Pre-orders are already live on ONKYO's official website.
The 2024 original anime, Girls Band Cry, is a 3D animated series centered around high school dropout and protagonist Iseri Nina. Moving to Tokyo to work and study for university, Nina's life takes a musical turn after a chance encounter with former band vocalist Kawaragi Momoka at a train station. Together with the emotionally reserved Yasuwa Subaru, the abandoned Ebizuka Tomo, and the solitary girl RUPA, they form the band "TOGENASHI TOGEARI." These five individuals, each with their own unique background, hope to find their place in the world through music.
The collaboration utilizes ANIMA's highly acclaimed AOW03 model, a Bluetooth over-ear headphone originally designed for an immersive anime music experience. It offers both wired and wireless connectivity and boasts an impressive battery life, delivering up to 37 hours of continuous playback. Charging is convenient via a USB Type-C cable.
