In addition to the "Pirate Hunter Zoro" pen holder set to be released this October, BANDAI SPIRITS' prize figure brand BANPRESTO, under its "FIGLIFE!" (フィグライフ！) series, which combines figures with daily life, will also release a masterpiece, "FIGLIFE! Buggy" (フィグライフ! バギー), in May 2026!
This "FIGLIFE! Buggy" is an entry in the Light Class (ライト級) of the "ONE PIECE SCULPTURE KING SUMMIT BATTLE 2025", a fun creation presented by the team of sculptor "Shintaro Takahashi" and development manager "Kota Tamai"! Buggy's body, embedded with magnets, can hold small cards and documents, and even serve as a jewelry stand. It's a product that fully utilizes the Chop-Chop Fruit's abilities and perfectly embodies the "playable figure" concept of FIGLIFE!, integrating figures into daily life.
Buggy is crafted based on his flamboyant appearance after becoming one of the Four Emperors. Shintaro Takahashi specifically designed his face with asymmetrical expressions, fully showcasing Buggy's rich range of emotions. From either side of his head, you can perceive two different Buggys – one full of confidence, the other in a panic – which is incredibly interesting! Coupled with the movable eye mechanism and the design that allows his limbs to be moved freely, I personally believe this is an excellent work that elevates the "playable figure" concept to the next level.
