Many netizens have probably experienced the thrill of an Ichiban Kuji lottery. Landing a grand prize or your desired item is always a huge win!
But a recent post on X by a Japanese user about winning big in a Demon Slayer Ichiban Kuji lottery took an unexpected turn from pure joy to an unforeseen airport security nightmare. This absurdly hilarious ordeal had netizens cracking up, asking, "Wait, this actually happens?!"

The incident unfolded when X user Yoru (@toriyoru0) was traveling in Hokkaido and stumbled upon a newly released Ichiban Kuji. Despite jokingly wondering, "What am I even doing in Hokkaido right now?" they couldn't resist the urge to play. Lo and behold, they snagged both the A and B prizes – figures of Zenitsu and Kaigaku! Little did they know, these two figures would become the catalyst for their airport adventure.

On their return trip, while checking in at the airport, the X-ray scanner blared as their luggage went through. A staff member, looking puzzled, asked, "Excuse me, do you have anything like a knife in your bag?" Turns out, the miniature swords held by the Zenitsu and Kaigaku figures were picked up by the machine and flagged as potential hazards. Even though they were just toy swords attached to the figures, their realistic shape was enough to trigger the alarm.
Security personnel then requested an inspection of her bag. While she didn't have to unbox them, the figures were still taken for a more thorough scan with advanced equipment and ultimately had to be placed in checked luggage.

This unexpected detour left Yoru both embarrassed and amused. She laughed in her post, saying, "It was so mortifying, I couldn't help but laugh!" Although she eventually cleared security without further issues, the whole experience was hilarious enough for her to share photos of the "dangerous" Nichirin Blades alongside her Zenitsu and Kaigaku figures.

Netizens flooded the comments, with reactions like: "Dying laughing www", "It looks like Zenitsu and Kaigaku are getting scolded LOL", and "This is just too wild!"
However, other users chimed in with similar stories, recalling how their kids' toy shurikens had also been flagged by security during past trips, leading to incredibly embarrassing moments. It seems many figures with weapon accessories are prone to attracting customs' attention.

This hilariously awkward "Demon Slayer figure incident" not only became a viral laugh but also left netizens impressed once again by the keen eye of airport security.
So, a final heads-up: If you're flying with "figures wielding swords," definitely don't put them in your carry-on! Just check them in, or you'll absolutely get stopped by security!
