"Badlands" reunites Trachtenberg with "Prey" co-writer Patrick Aison. Set in the near future, the film stars Elle Fanning as a new android character from the "Alien" universe, a model manufactured by the Weyland-Yutani corporation. This marks the first major crossover between the two iconic sci-fi horror franchises since the "Alien vs. Predator" films.
The film's Predator protagonist, Dekka, is portrayed by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi. While Fanning is a lead, the narrative will reportedly take a bold new approach, telling the story primarily from the Predator's perspective for the first time. "Predator: Badlands" is scheduled to hit North American theaters on November 7.
