ONKYO's sub-brand ANIMA has been on a roll with popular collaborations, previously teaming up with hit anime like Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, BanG Dream! MyGO/Ave Mujica, and the mobile game Blue Archive, all to great consumer reception.
Now, they're back with another exciting announcement: a new collaboration with the highly anticipated second season of Kaiju No. 8, set to air this July! This latest drop features wireless Bluetooth earphones inspired by four beloved characters, priced at 18,000 JPY. Fans can already pre-order them on the official ONKYO website.
Following their previous ONKYO collaboration, this second wave of Kaiju No. 8 earbuds spotlights Reno Ichikawa, Kikoru Shinomiya, Mina Ashiro, and Gen Narumi.
These special edition earbuds are built on ANIMA's acclaimed "ANIMA AOW04" model, boasting high-fidelity audio technology. They come packed with features like Bluetooth 5.3, IPX4 splash resistance, AAC codec support, MEMS microphones, and ambient sound capture. The earbud drivers utilize high-performance CoClear diaphragms, ensuring both superb sound quality and a distinctive personality.
Each of the four characters gets their own exclusive charging case and earbud design, subtly incorporating individual elements. The charging cases feature the series title and character names in English, while the earbuds themselves sport the "Izumo Tech" logo – the largest anti-kaiju weapon corporation in the series.
But the biggest draw? The custom voice prompts! These earbuds feature exclusive voice lines recorded by the anime's original voice actors: Shou Kato (Reno Ichikawa), Fairouz Ai (Kikoru Shinomiya), Asami Seto (Mina Ashiro), and Koki Uchiyama (Gen Narumi). Whether you're powering up or connecting, you'll hear your favorite characters right in your ear, making every listening session feel like they're right there with you.
Plus, the packaging for this collaboration is just as special, featuring unique artwork of the characters.
