Ethan Coen, one half of the award-winning Coen Brothers duo, has recently branched out from his brother to collaborate with his wife, editor Tricia Cooke, on a "lesbian B-movie trilogy." The series has already produced "Drive-Away Dolls" and "Honey Don't!", both of which received lukewarm critical reception and underperformed at the box office. However, this has not deterred the couple's confidence or impacted the financing for the third installment, "Go, Beavers!", as the project is still moving forward.

External media outlet World of Reel recently exclusively reported that Margaret Qualley, who starred in the previous two films, and Aubrey Plaza, who appeared in "Honey Don't!", are both in talks to join "Go, Beavers!".

"Go, Beavers!" will, like its predecessors, feature a standalone plot, yet share similar thematic elements. The protagonists are lesbians, and the story will involve crime and murder, aiming to recontextualize the absurdities of traditional B-movies, which often prioritize heterosexual male perspectives, through a queer lens. This installment's central plot will revolve around a collegiate lesbian rowing team that reunites years later, only for its members to begin mysteriously dying one by one.
