This latest anime installment sets its stage in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. It follows Maru, a boy living in the high-tech society known as "City," and Coco, a girl residing in the dangerous "Zone." Their story unfolds as they navigate their differing worlds, seeking a path to coexistence.
The voice cast features Yamane Aya as the honest and kind-hearted boy Maru, and Takahashi Karin as Coco, an Aydara tribe girl who coexists with monsters.
Yamane Aya (voicing Maru) shared: "Maru is a pure, righteous, and genuinely kind boy who wants to help others. I hope viewers will pay attention to his growth and changes after he meets the Aydara tribe. Synopsis :
In 2070 AD, a catastrophic supernova explosion caused multiple space stations to plummet to Earth, leading to a devastating event known as the "Heavenfall Catastrophe." Unknown bacteria introduced by the accident began to erode Earth's matter, giving birth to a new life form called "Overlimit Organisms." To survive, humanity established a new society, "City," far from the dangerous "Zone," where people live free from the constraints of body, time, and space.
However, descendants of humanity—the Aydara tribe—continue to live in the "Zone," coexisting with monsters. Maru, a boy from one world, and Coco, a girl from another, are brought together by fate, embarking on a quest to find a way for "humans and monsters to coexist."
