From "Black Mass" director Scott Cooper, the Bruce Springsteen biopic "Deliver Me From Nowhere" hit North American theaters this past Friday. Despite its approximately $50 million production budget, industry analysts project the film may not even break $10 million in its opening weekend, facing a tough road to profitability. Nevertheless, Cooper remains confident, stating he already intends to make more sequels.

Speaking to Variety at the film's premiere, Cooper declared, "I think if somebody can make four movies about The Beatles, we can make a couple more about Bruce Springsteen." The Beatles project Cooper is referencing is the upcoming four-part biopic series currently in development from Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes.

"Honestly, there are so many chapters of Bruce’s life that would make a great film, and I’ve talked to Bruce about it," Cooper continued. "I think he really loved the film. He loved the experience of making it. I think he felt very comfortable with somebody telling a very painful chapter of his life. You’d have to ask him, but I think he’s ready for more stories to be shared."

"Deliver Me From Nowhere" does not cover the entirety of Springsteen's life. The film is an adaptation of the book "Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska," focusing specifically on the period over four decades ago when Springsteen was creating his sixth studio album, "Nebraska." This leaves much of Springsteen's life story available for future installments.

The film stars Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen, leading a cast that includes Odessa Young, Marc Maron, Jeremy Strong, David Krumholtz, Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, and Grace Gummer, the daughter of Oscar-winner Meryl Streep. The film is now playing in North American theaters.
