As one of Hollywood's most talked-about rising stars, Sydney Sweeney has earned critical acclaim for her performances in "Euphoria" and "The White Lotus." However, public discussion often gravitates towards her striking looks and the alluring characters she portrays, leading many to label her a contemporary pop culture sex symbol. Sweeney, however, has clarified that she has no intention of embracing such a title.

Sweeney responded, stating, "I've played a lot of controversial characters, and I think a lot of people assume they know me because of that, but they don't. So when people think, 'Oh, she's just a sex symbol,' or 'She's leaning into that,' I say, 'That's not it. I just feel comfortable, I express myself for myself, and I feel powerful.' I hope I can inspire other women to embrace their own allure and feel comfortable, because you shouldn't apologize, and you shouldn't hide yourself in any situation."

Regarding the "sex symbol" discussion, Sweeney was recently the subject of rumors suggesting that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who recently acquired "creative control" over the James Bond franchise, was keen to cast her as the next Bond girl—a role historically synonymous with sex appeal. Sweeney, however, sought to clarify that Bezos has not approached her about the role. "I can't say, I don't know, honestly," she stated. "I'm not clear about those Bond movie rumors, but I've always been a fan of the series, and I'm excited and curious how they'll make it next."
