Media and early viewers who have already seen the film have begun sharing their initial reactions on social media. So far, "Badlands" appears to be largely maintaining the positive momentum established by director Dan Trachtenberg's previous entry, "Prey." While there are some minor criticisms, the overall reception has been predominantly positive.

Early reactions to "Predator: Badlands" are starting to surface, with critics sharing their initial thoughts online:
"The choral and chanting sections in the score are first-rate. I loved the interactions between Dirk and Sia, and absolutely adored Elle Fanning. Dimitrius's performance was fantastic, and Dirk was cool throughout. However, I don't think die-hard fans of the first two 'Predator' films will embrace this one. Not to nitpick, but there are undoubtedly some flaws, which I'll delve into in a more in-depth article after November 4th. Overall though, I thoroughly enjoyed 'Predator: Planet of Slaughter'!"

"Planet of Slaughter" is penned by Dan Trachtenberg, who directed "Prey," and Patrick Aison, co-writer of "Prey." Set in the near future, the film introduces Elle Fanning as a new synthetic character from the "Alien" franchise, a model produced by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. This marks a long-awaited crossover between the two iconic alien monster IPs since the "Alien vs. Predator" series.
Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi stars as the film's protagonist, the Predator known as "Dirk." While Fanning also takes on a lead role, the narrative perspective will, for the first time, challenge audiences by unfolding primarily from Dirk's point of view. "Planet of Slaughter" is slated for a November 7th release in North America.
