Tim Miller, the director behind "Deadpool" who hasn't helmed a feature film since "Terminator: Dark Fate," is reportedly developing a new project. The Hollywood Reporter (THR) exclusively revealed today that Warner Bros. Pictures is nearing a deal to acquire the script for "Shiver," a sci-fi action film that Miller is slated to direct, with Keanu Reeves confirmed to star.

The screenplay for "Shiver" comes from Ian Shorr, co-writer of "Infinite." The story follows a smuggler who, while on a mission in the Caribbean, becomes entangled in a rebellion. He soon finds himself surrounded by a multitude of bodies, hostile mercenaries, and bloodthirsty sharks, only to then realize he's trapped in a time loop he must desperately break.
Matthew Vaughn, director of the "Kingsman" franchise, will also produce the film through his company, Marv. A release date has not yet been announced.
