Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan, through its popular tokusatsu and kaiju-themed soft vinyl toy "MOVIE MONSTER" series, has announced the release of its latest product, the "Giant Condor," from the Godzilla series film "Ebirah, Horror of the Deep" (also known as "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster"). The product was released on November 3, 2025, and is exclusively available at the official Godzilla specialty store, GODZILLA STORE.
The Giant Condor, which appeared in "Ebirah, Horror of the Deep," is a kaiju approximately 20 meters in length. Its design is that of a very large vulture, depicted as having grown enormous due to contamination from the nuclear weapons factory of the secret armed group "Red Bamboo." It possesses little combat ability apart from pecking with its beak. In the film, when it ambushed Godzilla, it not only failed to cause any damage but was also instantly defeated by a single heat ray from Godzilla. For this reason, it has long been considered one of the weakest monsters in the Godzilla film series. Despite its seemingly insignificant presence, the Giant Condor surprisingly won first place in the official "5th Annual You Choose! Toho Tokusatsu MOVIE MONSTER Series Japan-US Simultaneous Fan Poll" event, which ultimately led to its commercialization in the MOVIE MONSTER series.
The "MOVIE MONSTER Giant Condor" is produced with dimensions of approximately 10 cm in height and 19 cm in width. Utilizing soft vinyl material, it extensively reproduces the Giant Condor's flying pose, feather patterns, and intricate details of its head and talons. It is also finished with a striking vermilion-toned gradient paint application.
