The 'METAL ROBOT SPIRITS' series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has officially announced the latest product from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr-Hunt, the 'Gundam Marchosias,' scheduled for release in May 2026.
The ASW-G-35 Gundam Marchosias is a mobile suit with massive twin wings on its back, equipped with the Alaya-Vijnana System and a dedicated Twin Ahab Reactor System. Its wings conceal four powerful mechanical arms, which can deploy to simultaneously wield multiple weapons in combat. This machine is speculated to be a phantom unit lost during the Calamity War 300 years ago. While Gjallarhorn's database contains records of its Ahab Reactor's unique frequency, completion, and deployment in actual combat, there is no data on its pilot at the time, leaving its whereabouts almost completely unknown.
The 'METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Gundam Marchosias' is crafted to an articulated specification with a total height of approximately 16 cm. The main body's movable frame utilizes alloy material, offering both high strength and a substantial feel during play. The entire armor features a refined and sharp sculpt, faithfully recreating the cool design from the machine's concept art. It is finished with rich matte and metallic paint applications, along with body markings. The metallic sheen of the alloy parts highlights the intricate details of the 'Gundam Frame,' as well as the material differences in areas like piping and hydraulic cylinders.
In terms of articulation, the high posability of the 'Gundam Frame' is faithfully reproduced. Not only can the neck and limbs achieve dynamic poses thanks to multi-axis movable designs, but the hydraulic cylinder parts also feature an interlocking mechanism when the waist rotates. The thrusters on the back of the calves have an original model-specific opening and closing mechanism. Furthermore, the massive twin wings on the back and the stabilizer wings on both sides of the waist recreate the deployment mechanism of their internal mechanical arms, allowing weapons to be equipped via the arms' claws.
Weapon accessories include the impressively sized main weapons, the 'Blast Lance Sword' and 'Oodachi,' as well as four daggers that can be equipped on the mechanical arms. The railguns concealed on both sides of the waist feature an opening and closing muzzle mechanism, and the gauntlets mounted on both arms can recreate a claw form without needing to swap parts, thanks to an original model mechanism. Additionally, accessories include red lightning-shaped 'eye glow effects,' a 'fabric cape' printed with the Bagurazan family crest, a dedicated display stand, and more, allowing for dynamic battle poses in conjunction with the main body's flexible articulation!
