Danish LEGO toy company has unveiled its latest regular releases for 2026, themed around the Chinese New Year! These are set number 80118, the "Fortune Firecracker", and set number 80119, the "Galloping Horse Canvas"! They are scheduled for release on January 1, 2026, with suggested retail prices of US$89.99 and US$109.99 respectively.
Updated on November 11, 2025:
First up is the Fortune Firecracker, boasting 1039 pieces. It's truly fascinating to see a traditional New Year firecracker, standing an impressive 47 cm tall, constructed from LEGO bricks! The overall design features vibrant classic colors such as red, yellow, aqua blue, and lake green. Once assembled, it's not only fun to play with but also includes special parts for wall mounting. Furthermore, this set incorporates an expandable mechanism activated by a button, with two interchangeable internal scenes. It includes a total of six minifigures, including an awesome God of Wealth.
The second set is the "Galloping Horse Canvas," which I personally am very much looking forward to, corresponding to the Year of the Horse in 2026! This entire scene, comprising 1650 pieces, measures approximately 30 cm wide once assembled. Beyond depicting the magnificent grandeur of a thousand galloping horses, it features an interlocking mechanism that allows four of the horses in the scene to appear as if they are running. Coupled with the printed ink wash painting canvas depicting another four horses, the display not only boasts a strong thematic presence but also symbolizes good fortune and prosperity with a total of eight horses! This is definitely a LEGO set you can encourage elders to sponsor to add festive cheer to your home (chuckles). Furthermore, this set also includes a special minifigure for the Year of the Horse!
