Documentary filmmaker Yui Chou (pictured below) recently revealed to tabloid outlet Daily Mail that Marvel's "Hawkeye" star Jeremy Renner, with whom she previously collaborated, engaged in numerous inappropriate behaviors in private. Chou not only spoke to the media but also posted multiple updates on her Instagram , including private photos of Renner and screenshots of their text messages, to substantiate her claims.

Chou and Renner initially met while working on the documentary "Chronicles of Disney" and the animated film "Stardust Future." Chou directed both projects, with Renner appearing as an interviewee in the former and providing voice work for the latter. Their professional relationship reportedly grew closer, briefly developing into a romantic one. However, their relationship has now fractured beyond repair.

Chou recounted that starting this past June, Renner allegedly began sending her private photos and explicit videos. She said that Renner then earnestly tried to convince her that he had been single for a long time and was eager to pursue a serious, long-term relationship, leading her to believe his intentions were genuine. However, she claims that shortly after, Renner began sexually harassing her and subsequently denied their relationship publicly. Chou stated that she did not initiate contact with him, but rather he pursued her, adding that she hadn't even known his name or seen his films before meeting him.

In August, Chou reportedly sought help from a colleague at Disney Studios, alleging that a violent Renner was having a drunken outburst, verbally abusing her for two hours. Her colleague advised her to lock herself in the bathroom. Chou also sent her location to her parents and colleagues at the time, in case of an emergency. Chou later gathered the courage to confront Renner, telling him to behave appropriately and respect her as an individual and a filmmaker. In response, Renner allegedly became enraged and threatened to report her to immigration authorities.

Following the dissemination of Chou's allegations, Renner issued a statement through another outlet, Page Six, stating that the accusations were completely inaccurate and untrue.
