The highly anticipated sequel, "The Devil Wears Prada," surprise-dropped its first teaser trailer and a new poster (pictured below) late last night. The trailer features Madonna's "Vogue," a track famously used in the original film's iconic 'makeover montage' sequence, followed by Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, reuniting on screen in an elevator for the first time in 19 years as former boss and employee.
Reportedly, the sequel's plot centers on Miranda, whose career is in a slump as she faces the crisis of a declining traditional publishing industry. She is forced to seek help from her former employee, Emily, played by Emily Blunt, who is now a high-ranking executive at a luxury fashion company. Miranda desperately needs advertising funds from Emily's company. The sequel is slated for release on May 1, 2026.
