The 2009 zombie comedy "Zombieland" has long captivated a dedicated fanbase. The strong chemistry between director Ruben Fleischer and his lead cast — Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone — led to the entire original ensemble reuniting a decade later for the sequel, "Zombieland: Double Tap."

But Fleischer is clearly not content with just two installments. While recently promoting his new film with Harrelson, "Now You See Me: Now You Don't" (also referred to as "Now You See Me 3"), he told Deadline in an interview, "I hope we can start filming 'Zombieland 3' in 2029. We've already started discussing it because the first one came out in 2009, and the second one in 2019, so we made a pact: 'See you in ten years.' Now that ten years is almost upon us, we've started making arrangements, and hopefully, it all comes together. Additionally, I have a few other scripts I'm eager to direct, so we'll see which one moves forward first."
