Yuji Terajima's baseball manga "Ace of Diamond" (ダイヤのA) has been a massive hit since the 2000s, spawning three highly acclaimed TV anime seasons.
Last May, the official channels announced a sequel to the previously aired third season, "Ace of Diamond act2." Today (December 14) brings the official confirmation: "Ace of Diamond act2 Season 2" is set to premiere in April 2026! They also dropped a brand-new key visual and the first promotional video.
The "Ace of Diamond" anime's first two seasons covered the manga's first arc (ACT I), airing in 2013 and 2015. The third season, "Ace of Diamond act2," adapted the manga's second arc, running from 2019 to 2020. Fans have been eagerly waiting over five years for this sequel, and the hype is real!
The newly released key visual for "Ace of Diamond act2 Season 2" centers on an intensely motivated Sawamura in the dugout, flanked by Furuya and Miyuki. Just looking at their expressions, you can feel the electrifying, pre-game tension!
The official website has also been updated, featuring a series overview and character pages for over 40 characters. Sawamura, Furuya, Miyuki, and the rest have all received refreshed character visuals, and all character descriptions have been rewritten specifically for the new series.
The first PV feels like an extension of the key visual, showcasing the entire Seido Baseball Club hitting the field. Each starting member exudes fierce determination, with Sawamura gripping his rosin bag, absolutely brimming with fighting spirit. His gaze is fixed on Miyuki, who's perfectly set with his catcher's mitt, ready to receive the pitch. The whole sequence is pure fire!
