Academy Award-winning director Alejandro González Iñárritu ("Birdman," "The Revenant") and Tom Cruise's highly anticipated, top-secret project, "Digger," today officially revealed its title for the first time, dropping a super-early teaser trailer and a teaser poster (pictured below).
Synopsis: The film follows one of the world's most powerful men who must embark on a wild journey to prove himself humanity's savior, or face the catastrophic destruction he himself unleashed. Iñárritu co-wrote the screenplay with Mexican author Sabina Berman and "Birdman" screenwriters Nicolás Giacobone and Alexander Dinelaris. This marks Cruise's return to the comedy genre, his first since "American Made" nine years ago. The film is slated for an October 2nd release next year in North America.
