Milla Jovovich and Luke Evans, two actors who have frequently taken on low-budget action films in recent years, have teamed up for the post-apocalyptic monster feature "Worldbreaker." The official trailer and key art (pictured below) for the film were recently unveiled. While "Worldbreaker" actually premiered last month in territories including the Philippines, Canada, and Russia, and also launched on streaming platforms in Sweden, its North American release is slated for January 30 next year. This staggered rollout explains why the US distributor is only now releasing the trailer.

"Worldbreaker" is directed by Brad Anderson, known for "Beirut," and features a screenplay penned by Joshua Rollins, who wrote "Infinite Storm." The film's premise bears a striking resemblance to "28 Years Later," which hit theaters this June. Both narratives are set in a post-apocalyptic world where a father trains his only child on an isolated island to combat zombie-like creatures from the outside. The core of the story centers on the child's coming-of-age journey as they are forced to develop resilience.
